He sees the principles from the Word as applicable everywhere, and celebrates the power of God flowing from principles. For decades now, people have said that they see life and God differently for having been exposed to Arthur s world view.

Excellent!!!

This book brought a lot of clarity on a subject society has pretty much ignored. It's our responsibility to pass the generational torch so to speak. One of our primary purposes in life is to reproduce, multiply the legacy we've received, and pass pass to the next generation.
What we often fail to realize is that we'll pass something on whether, willingly or unwillingly; consciously or unconsciously. This book illustrates what generational blessings are, and how to consciously position the next generation for success!!!

A must for this generation

I bought 10 of these books for Christmas presents to my (5) children and those who I thought would treasure it. I wanted my children to understand that there are blessings that will come to them based on the faithfulness of generations gone by...and my own service to God. I am on the third chapter myself and my faith and understanding is increasing. I gave my friend a copy and she is having a study group with 2 others. I am familiar with Arthur Burks works and I am always blessed with freshness of new insight and revelation that brings deliverance.

About the Author
Geshe Rabten (1921–86) was born in Dargye in eastern Tibet. He studied at Sera Monastery in Lhasa, where he gained renown as a great scholar, debater, and meditation master. In 1959, he escaped to India, where he became the spiritual teacher of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. In the mid 1960s Geshe Rabten was appointed as a religious assistant to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. On His Holiness's request he began teaching Dharma to Westerners in Dharamsala in 1969, and he went to live and teach in Switzerland in 1974. He founded Rabten Choeling Center (originally Tharpa Choeling) in Switzerland in 1979, where he lived and worked as spiritual director until he passed away in 1986.
Martin Willson received his PhD in radioastronomy at Cambridge University before spending twelve years as a Buddhist monk in Australia, Switzerland, and France. Now married, he lives in Swansea, South Wales, United Kingdom.

very good book.

I was introduced to this book while staying at the Kopan Monastery just outside of Kathmandu. Upon returning, I studied with a Geshe for 5 years in NYC. This book takes the infinite complexities of an other-culture-"religion" and makes it work.

Western culture often misunderstands the intentions of other cultures. It is easy to get lost in all the new age drivel written about buddhism. This book succeeds both in accuracy, and condensing the 40,000 volumes (or so) of the Lam Rim into an accurate and general synopsis of the path of buddhism. For a beginner, to try to tackle anything more complex than this text would require super human skills. Trust me, this book will be challenging ENOUGH for a learner. Even after many many years of studying and practicing buddhism, I still use this as a reference guide, especially when trying to convey complex concepts to beginners. Rereading this book continually reveals more.

This book is nothing to sniff at. It has many levels, and can be read by the beginner and more advanced buddhist alike. Beginners will probably miss many important concepts in this book, but there is no other way to begin. You must first read a comic book before the harvard classics. It is just the way things are. This is the one book I recommend over all others when people want to know more about buddhism.

Extremely helpful meditations

I have found this text to be extremely beneficial for daily Lam Rim meditation. The outline in the back is also very helpful for Lam Rim memorization. I took the book to a local copy shop to have the spine chopped off and have the book spiral bound. Now it lays flat during my practice.

Easy to Use Lam-Rim for Daily Practice

This is a reprint of Geshe Rabten's classic book on Lam-Rim (Stages of the Path) which had been out of print for some time. The text is not re-typeset, but appears to be a photographic reprint of the original. In any case, any imperfections in printing are overcome by the value of the contents of this book. Geshe Rabten explains various points of the Lam-Rim in friendly, approachable language. The teachings presented are presented in the traditional, Gelug Tibetan Buddhist style, but even if you're not a fan of this style, this small book provides a great overview of the stages of Mahayana Buddhist practice. The only criticism would be that for daily practice, there should be a spiral-bound edition. But, other than that, a real gem.

Very Decent guide

I was impressed with this book. It is an easy to follow and comprehensive guide to Sage one. The boot itself is quite small which I did appreciate as I often find `for Dummies' books to be a bit unwieldy.

This isn't an essential purchase but it might well be worth it in terms of time saved.

A great love story

A fantastic ending to a great love story. Part picks up right as part 1 left off. I was glad to see Candace seeing a therapist and she was helping her to break the hold her mother had over her. I thought Linda's techniques were kinda weird in the beginning but it worked to help Candace address the problems. Candace didn't want to be with Taylor because of the lies and deceit and tried to friend zone him but that didn't work out as she thought. There was a lot more sex scenes esp after they made up and became a couple again. I was so happy Candace was able to finally tell Taylor she loved him. Of course she loved him but after he came to her rescue and saved her and the baby life she really had no other choice. Candace is now living the fairy tale life with her baby and now fiance. I thought it was so sweet of Candace to propose to Taylor after she didn't accept his proposal. Taylor is head over heels in love her and was able to break through and get her to love. As they say love conquers all and Taylor was set on making Candace love him and that exactly what happened. I loved this series and could read it over and over again. Job well done!!!

Another great read

As usual, Miss Jenesequa did not disappoint. This is the continuation from part 1. I just loved Candice and Tays relationship. They had awesome chemistry. I started reading and did not stop until I was done. I hated to see the story end. Great job Miss Jenesequa and Royalty Publishing House.

She finally grew....

I was happy that the growth in Candice was present in this part of the series. At first I thought Linda was a bit much but as I continued to read I saw how much help she was to Candi and Tay. I liked Tays character even more this book because although he loved Candi, he made her fight for him! When she ran thru the airport looking for her man, I was excited. Finally she's ready to be an adult and push her moms moral to the background. The Dre & Chelsea situation was such a double standard when it came to the threesome discussion. On the other hand bi or straight , if you're in a committed relationship it should be treated that way. I did think the crazy gf Hallie was played, like she went through all that to hurt Tay knowing he didn't care about Aya, it just didn't make sense to me. At the end of it all, I was relieved the baby and Candi were okay because with the emotional struggles she faced the last thing she needed was that type of loss.

Omg I am enjoyed this book. I'm team Keys and Kane. I hope he doesn't mess things up. Cash really needs to get it together and move on. He never wanted to do right and I don't believe he ever will. He lost a good woman when Keys left. Tay is most definitely more a sister then she is a friend. She is always there when Keys needed her. I loved the bond they had. Mia is one sneaky chick and I don't like her. I hope and pray that Keys is OK! I can't wait until book two drops.

Cash is a cocky and insecure man. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. Keys is a good woman with a good heart. Once she wised up about Cash she started living again. Her best friend Tay is a trip and half. Kane is like breath of fresh air for Keys. He is a thug and gentleman rolled into one.

Can't wait to part 2 cash made me sick but he only did what keys allow him to do smh I hope keys is going to be okay.I love tay that is a real friend.now that pregnancy is crazy when the doctor said they were growing at two different speeds I was likelol I was so into the book I couldn't believe I got to the end so fast can't wait for part 2

This book delivers exactly what it promises. It is an accessible guide which accompanies the reader through a range of complex concepts. Each theory is clearly explained, critically analysed and supported by anecdotes which bring the abstract to life. In addition there is direct application as to how these ideas can influence on a wider scale in the classroom, the staffroom and on senior management in education. About the Author

Bob Bates was an Executive Officer in the Civil Service for 20 years. During this time, he worked for seven years as an employment coach and mentor to people with disabilities. On leaving the Civil Service he set up his own management and training consultancy, The Arundel Group, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. He had a break from consultancy in the mid-1990s to take up a lecturing career, during which time he gained two Masters degrees and a PhD in Education. He has taught over 1000 teachers on graduate and post-graduate programmes at two universities and in adult education centres. Many of the teachers on these programmes work with children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and additional needs.

Bob has written four books. The Little Book of BIG Management Theories, written with Jim McGrath, was published by Pearson in 2014. It was the Chartered Management Institute’s (CMI) practical management book of the year in 2014 and was on WH Smith’s best-sellers list for nine months. It is being translated into seventeen languages. His first solo book, The Little Book of Big Coaching Models, published by Pearson in 2015, was also a best-seller and was described by Sir Dave Brailsford (Team Sky Cycling Director) as a ‘great read’. It is currently being translated into German and Thai. His third book, Learning Theories Simplified, was published by SAGE in autumn 2015, and his fourth, A Quick Guide to Special Needs and Disabilities, published by SAGE in autumn 2016.

Bob shares his time these days between writing, working with European partners on projects related to disability, teaching adult education teachers and doing voluntary work for a charity that promotes health and education in the Gambia. His wife has worked in special needs education for over 25 years, and gave Bob the idea for this book as she keeps telling him that all of her children and young people are special, some just have more needs than others.

Must have for education courses!

Great little book. I am taking education courses for certification and this book covers all the theorists which keep popping up in the courses. It also has a great section on learning styles and sections on other topics such as mentoring, tutoring, classroom management, lesson planning, and behavior management. A great resource for anyone taking an education course. It simplifies a comprehensive range of theories without oversimplifying them. It also provides examples of how theory can be applied.
